The charitable objects of the Trust are :
* To provide education and raise awareness and on water training to members of the public and to youth concerning the sport of Sailing, Sailboat Racing, and Water Safety;
* To provide education including the teaching of boatbuilding skills in concert with the NZ Marine and Composites Industry Training Organization, The Manakau Yacht and Motor Boat Club and any related or subsidiary entities, and other interested associated parties in the Auckland District.
* To educate the public about the maritime history of Auckland including its yachting history and the designs and wooden and composite boatbuilding practices invented by Bruce Farr of New Zealand.
* To promote and fund New Zealand youth to perform in maritime pursuits at a national level and coordinate education using the Manukau Yacht and Motor Boat Club facilities and youth sailing initiatives.
* To provide support and education to the community to encourage the sport of sailing in the Auckland District.
To educate the public and support the community relation to the establishment of a wooden boat festival in Auckland.
